Well, here I am again, attempting to start blogging. The difference this time being I now am the proud owner of a laptop - yep! I have "officially" entered the new millenium as I am now in possession of most of the technological gadgets all my friends (and the rest of the free world -LOL!) have had for a while now - cell phone, laptop, mp3 player, digital camera. I even disconnected my land line -something I had been contemplating ever since cell phones came on the market. What's the use in having a land line and a cell phone? I don't know, but the savings on not having a land line is about $50 a month (damn! that's $600 year!). Let me do that math again.........yep, that's right. *shaking head*
So, I get this laptop and I'm all excited 'cuz I got a serious hook-up. Admittedly, it's about 2-3 years old, but it serves my purpose perfectly. I won't even say how much I paid for it, but believe me, it was ridiculously low. I searched the web to see what the going price was for this model and it's about $350 (+ tax) and I got it waaaaaay cheaper than that. SCORE! Plus, I got an extra battery -free! BONUS! Whoever said, "it's not what you know, it's who you know" was dead right.
Anyway, I did a little research on how much it would cost to have broadband access. For anyone interested, AT&T has the cheapest "bundle" and Verizon has the cheapest rate for access only. So now, I have a decision to make - "bundle" or broadband access only? Well, the dilemma solved itself when I got home. I cranked this baby up and...........yep - FREE access via some other sucka's connection! I've been an internet surfin' fool all weekend!
So, what's on my mind tonight? Dreading the workday tomorrow. Not because I don't like my job, but because I cannot stand the woman who I sit next to. She gets on my last nerve! As the blogging goes on, you'll hear plenty about that. I'm also looking around my apartment wondering how the hell it got so messy in the span of one day? What am I going to wear to work tomorrow? I haven't watched the local news all weekend. Should I pack my gym bag and lunch tonight or in the a.m.? What the hell is on T.V. right now? I usually have it on for background noise and I'm picking up that it's some kind of reality show about solving a homicide. I hate folding/hanging up laundry. I need to change my sheets. Damn I saw some fat people at the mall today! I sooooooo do not want to be a "fat girl." I'm going to miss 3 days of working out this week. I just redecorated my bathroom and it's so cute! I need to call my daughter - I haven't spoken with her since Saturday and it's Monday! I wonder what my checking account balance is - I need to check it to see how much damage I did this weekend. I need to figure out how to put pics on this blog. Let me get my butt out of this chair, tidy up a bit and get ready for the "grind" tomorrow!
